Freshwater Place is the location where historically the Yarra Falls lay, representing the point at which the sea’s salt water intrusion ended and the Yarra River’s fresh water flows began. Today the falls are no more; but Freshwater Place remains a historically significant point on the banks of the Yarra river.
It is thus a fitting location for one of the most architecturally striking buildings on the skyline of Melbourne. Beyond its architectural merits, the vision for Freshwater Place has been and is – “to provide its residents with the very best in living facilities, style and functionality”.
